How does this sound? Take a private helicopter charter to Los Angeles and Greater Palm Springs, enjoy VIP seating at polo matches in the private Owner’s Suite at Empire Polo Club, and stay in luxury overnight accommodations at two Waldorf Astoria properties. Pretty amazing, right?!
Two iconic Waldorf Astoria hotels, Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills and La Quinta Resort & Club, have partnered with BLADE helicopters, legendary polo player Guillermo “Memo” Gracida and Empire Polo Club to create an over-the-top President’s Day weekend package to Los Angeles and Greater Palm Springs.
For $20,000, two polo enthusiasts will travel from Los Angeles to Greater Palm Springs, California via private helicopter charter. Once there, they will enjoy a catered lunch with Player of the Centennial Era and National Polo Hall of Fame player Guillermo “Memo” Gracida, Jr. — whose international career includes record-setting achievements and the highest number of U.S. Open Championship victories — followed by a weekend itinerary full of other polo perks.
Some of the President’s Day polo experience festivities include an eight-course chef’s tasting menu for two at Jean-Georges Beverly Hills; an optional polo lesson with Memo Gracida; a chef’s table steakhouse dinner for two at Morgan’s in the Desert and Mexican dinner for two at Adobe Grill, both at La Quinta Resort & Club; private helicopter transfers; and the chance to view polo matches from the private Owner’s Suite, complete with player visits, food and beverage presentations.
A portion of the proceeds from this package will benefit the Tower Cancer Research Foundation in Beverly Hills, dedicated to clinical research, patient support and community education.
