Pharrell Williams is happy because he has dropped $7.14 million for a contemporary-styled estate in Los Angeles. The American rapper’s newest property purchase will lure him to travel to west coast more often. The ‘Can I Have It Like That’ singer is actually having the whole of 4,415 square feet like that. The 1.55-acre gated property on Laurel Canyon boasts of two structures. The glass-walled main house has five bedrooms while the two-story guest house features one bedroom. A total five full and two half bathrooms are a part of the property too.Designed by L.A. based architect Hagy Belzberg, the hillside house features expansive use of glass walls and sliding doors between the rooms to give an uninterrupted visual and physical transition. Oversized windows render unobstructed vistas from almost every corner of the home.Pharrel’s new den is inviting with all-glass front door, glass-walled living room with extra high ceiling, wrap-around canyon, stainless steel floating fireplace, a courtyard-style motor court, a dining deck with built-in barbecue station as well as an infinity-edge lap pool with integrated spa offering powerful views over Laurel Canyon. The kitchen holds dove grey cabinetry, snow-white quartz countertops, a center island with four-seat snack and beverage bar, along with a full suite of sleek Euro-style stainless steel appliances. An adjoining dining space has a full wall of built-ins that incorporates open book shelves, enclosed storage cabinets and a large, wall-mounted flatscreen too.The master bedroom comes with a deluxe bathroom that is fitted with floating vanities, a glass-enclosed shower stall and a free-standing soaking tub set in front of a wall of floor to ceiling windows. Lastly, a roomy terrace atop the garage and just off the front door acts as a viewing platform for films and other projections that can be shot over the motor court.Variety
