Pharrell Williams and Adidas Originals team up for a new collection of limited-edition pieces. To design the collection, the American rapper was inspired by two vintage floral unisex jackets that he came across on a a trip to Paris’ Marché Saint Pierre located at the foot of Montmartre’s Sacre-Coeur church.
Part of the the 2015 spring/summer line, Pharrell has given a sophisticated the Superstar track jackets as well as Stan Smith shoes. Bearing his touch, both pieces are made in Germany from European materials and are decked with Jacquard embroidered floral prints in two lavish color combinations of turquoise and beige. The redesigned Stan Smith shoes feature Pharrell branding at the heel tab along with a colorful custom insole and the signature perforated adidas three stripes.
WWD reports that the jackets feature a fit with a cropped length, non-raglan sleeves (with the three-stripe motif along their sleeves), and a slightly wider cut across the chest. Prices at $854, only 200 pieces of the jackets will be available. While the dressy shoes sport a $205 tag.The collection, which is the fourth since the casual sports clothing brand and the singer joined hands, will be available from May 30 in Adidas Originals flagships, select Adidas boutiques and on adidas.com.Adidas Via WWD
