The 1993 Toyota Supra stunt car driven by the late Paul Walker in the original “The Fast and the Furious” back in 2001 has been sold at auction for $185,000.
The auto was one of several MkIV Supras built specifically for the film by Eddie Paul from The Shark Shop in El Segundo, California. It is featured in several key scenes, including the final race between Walker and Vin Diesel (Diesel helms a 1970 Dodge Charger).
The “Fast and Furious” films have gone on to become one of the most lucrative franchises in the world, grossing nearly $4 billion worldwide. The latest film, “Furious 7,” netted an astounding $1.5 billion. An eighth film is in the works. Tragically, Walker died in late 2013 in an auto accident.
