Pagani has completed modifications on its stunning Huayra Supercar and it is now ready for sale in the United States. Introduced last fall in Europe the Huayra has a price tag of $1.2 million dollars and is powered by an AMG Mercedes 6-liter V12 that make an incredible 720 horsepower. Luca Venturi, a spokesperson for Pagani told us the modifications were to enable the car to meet all federal safety requirements and have not effected the performance and handling of the car at all. In fact, all future Huayras will be made to U.S. specifications.
The clearcoat Carbon Fiber car we saw at The Quail yesterday is the essentially the demo model for the U.S. and will be used for customer test drives before they place their orders. Pagani expects 25% of the production to end up in America. We couldn’t get behind the wheel of the Huayra this week because it was booked solid on customer drives but we expect to be able to drive it later this fall and bring you a full report on the experience.
