ITC Hotels Luxury Collection, the Greenest Luxury Hotel Chain in the World, will add an 11th property with the opening of ITC Green Bharat in New Delhi, India in July.
The hotel will be located outside of New Delhi in the northern region, amid the Aravalli hills. Upon its completion, the property will include one of India’s finest golf resorts and spas. The resort provide discerning travelers with ITC Hotels’ bespoke services, unhurried luxury experiences, warm Indian hospitality and regionally-inspired architecture.
Pioneers of “Responsible Luxury,” ITC Hotels’ super-premium Luxury Collection has blazed new trails in sustainable hospitality as the first and only chain with all properties accorded LEED® Platinum certification. The ITC Green Bharat is being built to meet these same rigorous standards, and will provide guests an idyllic getaway that also contributes to a planet-positive ethos.
“We are proud of the high standard we have set for the ITC Luxury Collection,” says Nakul Anand, Executive Director at ITC Limited. “ITC Green Bharat will strengthen our presence in northern India and offer sophisticated travelers to New Delhi an unparalleled experience of Indian culture and comfort. Like all our hotels, ITC Green Bharat will combine grandeur with intimacy and operate according to the highest principles of environmental stewardship.”
Blending various Indian architectural influences, the 104-suite ITC Green Bharat is a tribute to India’s rich heritage. The property will offer two categories of accommodation. The largest of the accomodations will be the four Presidential Villas which will be palatial residences with private terraces, plunge pools and a personal butler in attendance around the clock. In addition, there will be 100 luxurious suites with opulent interiors feature semi-private pools and/or private terraces, butler service and personalized amenities.
There will be world class amenities on the 300-acre ITC Green Bharat estate, including a 27-hole signature golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus. The Canyon Course will be a spectacular nine-hole course surrounded by a craggy canyon-scape. The Ridge Course will be a nine-hole course amid gently undulating dunes. The third nine-hole course will be the Valley Course, which is strategically placed around picturesque lakes.
Non-golfing guests will find plenty of outdoor activities to choose from including nature trails and bird watching. Hotel staff will also be delighted to arrange personalized picnics and world class adventure sports.
Spa enthusiasts and wellness seekers are eagerly awaiting the holistic wellness retreat, a destination in itself, offering India’s ancient healing therapies along with modern medicinal rejuvenation techniques, cutting edge spa treatments and high quality fitness facilities.
A complete yoga program—developed by trained yoga instructors from the prestigious Bihar School of Yoga—will be offered, complemented by Ayurveda therapies and naturopathic cuisine planning from leading Ayurveda practitioners and certified doctors. The hotel will also feature a state-of-the-art fitness center with top-of-the-line equipment, qualified trainers and instructors for all forms and styles of fitness.
Like ITC’s other hotels, ITC Green Bharat will also offer exceptional dining and after hours experiences with two gourmet restaurants and a sophisticated bar. Aravalli Pavilion, the three-meal restaurant, will offer a variety of cuisines; the India Room will serve fine European fare in an elegant setting; and the Peacock Bar will offer a quiet retreat where one can enjoy premium spirits and fine wines from around the world.
Guests will be able to enjoy periodically scheduled live cultural performances at the open-air amphitheater or billiards, cards, tennis, squash and croquet at “The Village.”
“At all ITC hotels, we are committed to providing authentic experiences rooted in local history and culture,” adds Anand. “ITC Green Bharat is an international destination which has been guided by the highest ideals of this ancient country’s heritage and culture – both past and present, and by ITC’s commitment to world class quality.”
