If you’re seeking a romantic getaway this holiday season, look no further than the iconic One&Only Ocean Club, which yesterday unveiled a large-scale renovation, including a completely renovated and expanded guest rooms and suites in the historic Hartford Wing, in addition to introducing the ultimate Caribbean beachfront experience with a new infinity-edge Ocean Pool and Ocean Pool Grill.
An enticing alternative to the massive Atlantis resort, the One & Only updates come ahead of yet more news that development Baha Mar won’t open for the foreseeable future.
Once the private estate of A&P heir Huntington Hartford II, the resort has fully renovated its aptly named Hartford Wing, with each of the 52 guest rooms and suites increasing by 110-square-feet to offer expansive terraces with views of the ocean and lush resort gardens.
Each guest room has also been redone with new custom-designed furnishings, fabrics and color schemes, inspired by the distinctive palette of The Bahamas from cerulean blues to aquamarine to the bleached white Bahamian sand. The bathrooms have been transformed with the addition of marble, separate bath and rain showers, and double vanities. The Hartford Courtyard was also completely redesigned allowing for a luxurious, relaxing lounge.
All guests of the Hartford Wing are serviced by the resorts’ iconic butlers, with room rates from $985.
All guests will enjoy the new beach club experience as well, thanks to a new, 125-foot-long, beachfront, infinity-edge pool.
Alongside the new pool is the brand new Ocean Pool Grill, helmed by Resort Executive Chef Gal Kozer, where guests can indulge in classic poolside fare without leaving the comfort of their daybed – from the freshest hand-picked local and imported ingredients to a variety of family-style sharing platters ranging from Feta-Pequillo Pepper and Eggplant Dip to a Cold Seafood Platter with James River Oysters, Local Lobster, Florida Stone Crab, Prawns and Tuna Sashimi. The Ocean Pool Grill’s cocktail menu is replete with craft cocktails incorporating local ingredients that deliver a truly Bahamian experience such as the Decadence with Nassau Royale, Bombay sapphire and cinnamon infused coconut water.
We love that the Bahamas is an easy access destination for most of the East Coast, and can’t wait to visit!
