The Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Montelucia is offering an exclusive wellness experience reminiscent of the popular speakeasy trend that requires a secret knock and password in order to gain access to a mysterious and unique experience.
Beginning in early June, ‘in-the-know’ travelers will gain exclusive admittance to a bespoke luxury wellness experience at the retreat’s crown jewel, Joya Spa. Renowned as one of the top spas in Arizona, and the state’s only Hammam-inspired luxury spa, the Omni Scottsdale’s Puerta Privada—which translates to ‘private door’ in Spanish—will soon give select guests access to the spa and its myriad of rejuvenating and romantic offerings after it is closed to the general public.
Once inside the Castilian-style doors guarding the entrance, a spa butler will guide couples up to Joya’s luxurious Spa Suites situated along the terrace complete with private spa pool. Guests will be transported to an exotic world—inspired by the Moroccan deserts and Andalusia in Southern Spain—and the enchanting atmosphere of Joya Spa will awaken feelings of mystery and intrigue. The spa suite “hideaways” will be accented with candles, antique lamps, plush pillows, and Moroccan antiques. Joya Spa is known for its unique spa rituals including the Hammam and Restorative Sleep Rituals.
This one-of-a-kind wellness and dining experience will take place on Fridays and Saturdays starting at 7:30 p.m. and will be limited to three couples per night. The three-hour package will include: exclusive, private entry to Joya Spa; a one hour couples massage; a private unique astrology experience overlooking Camelback Mountain; and a custom dinner for two created by Executive Chef Michael Cairns, based on guest preferences. An acoustic guitarist will be playing through the evening. The price starts at $750, depending on suite and seasonality. Guests can choose to add on extras such as rose petals, extra-long massages, additional courses at dinner, special chocolates, etc. for an additional fee. The full spa menu can be found here.
Bookings should be made at least a week in advance due to limited space. One does not have to be a guest of the property to book the package. Once the package is booked, the guest or the local has access to Joya Spa & Terrace for the whole day. For more information about the spa package or to make a reservation to stay at the property, call (888) 627-3010 or (480) 627-3200.
