After riding high on the success of his debut collection for Louis Vuitton early this year, Nicolas Ghesquière has once again made to headlines with his debut fashion campaign. The creative director of the house of Louis Vuitton owned by LVMH has roped in three renowned photographers, including Annie Leibovitz, Bruce Weber and Juergen Teller, to glamorize the Fall ’14 campaign.
Titled “Series 1”, the campaign features four contemporary heroines that include actress Charlotte Gainsbourg and models Liya Kebede, Freja Beha Erichsen and Jean Campbell along with a silver Maserati concept car too. The trio were given free reign to interpret the collection with their unique visual signature and the outcome is a “curated” selection of images that sum up as an outstanding “fashion gallery.”
While Weber shot the campaign in Miami, Annie Leibovitz in New York and Teller in Venice, Louis Vuitton also uploaded a 55 second behind-the-scenes video covering Gainsbourg’s shoot with Leibovitz.
Watch out for the freshness of Ghesquière’s styling and also the extreme wearability of Louis Vuitton’s AW14 collection.
WWD also reported that the print campaign would often appear in gatefold and consecutive spread configurations, in addition to single pages.
