Since 2008 the New York International Gift Fair in the United States has showcased the latest in sustainable design through the Sustainability: Design for a better world exhibition at the show. The most innovative and environmentally friendly and sellable products within this exhibition are then honored at the show’s eco-choice awards.
This event is the second of two editions of the New York International Gift Fair held in 2011. The event is open to trade professionals only and attracts around 35,000 visitors per year. Earlier in 2011 the NYIGF honored a variety of products including those categorized as ‘green’. The event attracts retailers, wholesalers and manufacturers’ representatives. The categories of goods on display at the show range from home furnishings to fashion accessories and dog toys.
