The lights are glowing. The music is loud.
The crowd lounges around the bar, looking the part- young, fit and beautiful. On the drink menu are CBD-Infused Martinis and Cucumber Kale Juice with Pitbull’s Voli Vodka. The walls are decked out in artwork by Kelsey Montague and conceptual artist, Jonathan Rosen.
This sounds like the hottest night club opening, but in reality, it’s the newest fitness craze to hit NYC. GRIT Bxng is the ultimate 50-minute hybrid workout founded by Pitbull, Tony Robbins, and Bill Zanker (Founder, The Learning Annex).
As you enter the luxury studio designed by Bright Architecture, you see a dazzling Swarovski covered punching bag and boxing gloves designed by Sarah Sparkles, know for her Bergdorf Goodman windows. You walk past the full service bar on the way to the studio, and are greeted by a DJ booth in the corner and sophisticated lighting.
The class itself combine boxing, treadmills and strength training in a high-tech, club-link environment. The full body, high intensity interval training workout builds strength, endurance and core all at once.
No expense was spared in the studio, with Aquabags in the boxing area and a multi-million dollar sound system. Instructors work out from a platform in the center of the room in front of a large screen, that features curated playlists by Pitbull and motivational content from Robbins, as well as workout information.
