Glenmorangie announced the latest addition to their Private Edition range of limited edition expressions. Finealta, pronounced ‘Finalta’, is Scottish Gaelic for ‘elegant’.
This Highland Single Malt Scotch Whiskey is a recreation of Glenmorangie recipe dating back to 1903.
The 107 year old recipe was uncovered in the Distillery’s archives. The Scotch whiskey maker followed the recipe meticulously, which included marrying whiskies of different ages and different cask types.
Glenmorangie Finealta has a unique taste of mandarin segments, lime and hints of cherry brandy combined with a spicy palate of nutmeg and ginger. There is also a hint of peat creating a smokiness.
