According to a new report in the New England Journal of Medicine, a new gene targeting drug therapy may offer hope for those suffering from Melanoma, a deadly skin cancer.
Skin cancer is usually treatable, but once metastasizes – reaches another part of the body, the average patient less than a year. The new therapy slowed the disease for over 80% of Melanoma sufferers, offering hope for those with the disease.
The efforts could be the biggest breakthrough in fighting Melanoma in decades – perhaps ever.
