Christian Dior founded French fashion house has opened up a new Baby Dior and Dior Kids boutique on rue Royale, in Paris. The luxury label aptly describes it as Dior’s jewel box dedicated to their small clients.
Located not so far from Jardin des Tuileries and the Place de la Madeleine, the Baby Dior outlet features emblematic Dior moldings. Upon entering, tiny patrons will be treated to the Dior Kids line. The interior is designed to appear like a family home and make the young clients feel comfortable. The new store features plate-covered walls and an old fireplace too! Against such a non-imposing set up, the latest collection for young boys and girls stands out with bright dresses, dark suits and shoes in subtle shades.
Further inside, along a blond parquet floor, shoppers with tiny feet can walk into a room designed to remind them of their room back home. This room puts up fine creations from Baby Dior collection. Also the ground floor ceiling is adorned with artwork by Matthias Kiss. The paint work gives an illusion of looking out of a window on to the rose garden of the house at Granville, the place where Christian Dior spent his growing years.
A flight of stairs leads to the first floor which has been reserved for formal evening wear along with limited edition, exclusives pieces. Akin to its flagship store at 30 Avenue Montaigne, Paris, the new only-children Dior store also evokes the elegance and timeless appeal synonymous to the brand. But of course at a level which even children can relate to.
The above images give a glimpse of Dior’s Autumn-Winter 2014 collection designed for young Dior fans.
