Mr. Brainwash Creates Original Art Piece for Female Non-Profit

Thierry Guetta (a/k/a Mr. Brainwash), an internationally recognized French-born, Los Angeles-based street pop artist and filmmaker, has donated a one-of-a-kind art piece created specifically for We Do It Together, a local nonprofit studio dedicated to female filmmakers.

His work has been seen through solo gallery shows in Los Angeles and worldwide, and through projects for myriad celebrities including Madonna, for whom he designed the cover art for her album Celebration.  Collaborating with the late Stan Lee, Mr. Brainwash has also shared his art through philanthropic efforts such as creating murals honoring the victims of September 11 and helping celebrate International Women’s Day alongside First Lady Michelle Obama.

The original art piece for We Do It Together is valued at $20,000.  All proceeds from its sale will help advance its mission to produce films about women, by women, for all audiences. We Do It Together is a 501(c)3 nonprofit film production company created in 2016 to finance and produce films, documentaries, TV and other forms of media created by female filmmakers. With the mission to empower women through film, art and media, WDIT seeks to empower women and help create gender parity in society.

Of his donated art, Mr. Brainwash explains, “When women and men join forces, they can change the world faster and make life even more beautiful.  This is why I support We Do it Together as they empower women and help to create a more equal society.”

“We are excited that Mr. Brainwash has created this piece to benefit We Do It Together,” says We Do It Together Founder & President Chiara Tilesi.  “We are grateful to him and his wife, We Do It Together Board of Directors Member Debora Guetta, and their support as longtime advocates of gender equality and female empowerment.” For more information, please email contact@WeDoItTogether.org.
