Military-grade bikes aren’t exactly commonplace, which is why we loved the Montague Paratrooper Tactical Folding Mountain Bike. Designed in collaboration between Montague and the Marine Corps, this nifty mountain bike is specifically built for paratroopers who are dropped into rough environments.
The Paratrooper is a full size, 24 speed mountain bike designed to endure any terrain at high speed in silence with no heat signature. In addition to the high performance feature, the bike folds simply without the use of tools. By turning one quick lever, the Paratrooper folds in less than 30 seconds into 3′ x 3′ pack.
The bike comes with both an 18″ and 20″ frames.
The Paratrooper comes equipped with front suspension, 24-speed Shimano shifters, and heavy duty double cage aluminum pedals to tackle the roughest terrain. The Paratrooper Tactical Folding Mountain Bike uses all standard mountain bike wheels and components serviceable at any bike shop.
Price is about $900.
