Miu Miu, the high fashion brand of women’s clothing and accessories from the Prada, has unveiled images of its spring advertising campaign. Headed by Miuccia Prada, the label has roped in Mia Goth, Imogen Poots and Marine Vacth to face the camera. Captured by Steven Meisel, the campaign revolves around cinematic storytelling and the interconnected narratives of three fearless and beautiful actresses.
While Mia Goth faces the lens lolling on crisp white bed sheets, Imogen Poots radiates a rebellious attitude for the campaign. One of France’s most striking acting talents, Marine Vacth, clad in dusk-rose coat is seen waiting in a drawing room with a bag placed at her feet.
The images appear to have been shot through doorways, unfolding a multi-dimensional, multi-room story.
Antique wallpapers, dark wood furniture, and unmade bed add dramatic tension to the new narrative campaign. Each scene is a chance encounter, independent but linked, dramatically connecting the characters’ stories. Each actress plays a role and the collection acts as the narrative force of the story, and the true power of fashion as a communicator of fresh ideas and ideologies.
Renowned makeup artist Pat McGrath worked to give a pale look to the stars while hair stylist Guido Palau let their hair appear to be naturally loose.
Glimpses of Miu Miu’s Spring Summer 2015 collection can be seen in form of the housecoat, the cardigan, the tube skirt, pajama suits and ruffled blouses slashed to the mid-drift.
Miu Miu’s first campaign for 2015 is set to break in February issues, starting with Harper’s Bazaar UK edition.
