Michael Jordan has not played in the NBA for over decade, but that isn’t stopping the basketball legend from being one of the most influential athletes in the world. His namesake ‘Air Jordan’ sneaker continues to cast a wide net, not just in the athletic world, but fashion realm as well. Case in point is the new Oscar-themed sneaker that the brand has just release.

Jordan made the announcement via Twitter, touting the new Air Jordan XX8 SE PEs. The limited edition sneakers come in either black or white with gold accents on the bottom sole and upper near the laces.

We have to admit, they are pretty sweet looking.

No world on pricing or availability of the new Air Jordan XX8 SE PEs Oscar-themed shoes, but fans will no doubt be snatching them up the moment they hit the street.

Jordan is currently the majority owner and chairman of the NBA’s Charlotte Bobcats.
