As tinsel town gears up to celebrate Hollywood’s Biggest Night with local and international golden statue hopefuls filling the city, Maybach sets the weekend off in high style for a good cause, while the Mercedes-Benz S400 Hybrid makes it’s TV Academy Award debut with a well conceived spot, as it has become the choice for eco chic transport and red carpet arrivals.
Festivities start on Thursday at the Beverly Hilton when Maybach, the ultimate luxury automobile, and A-list celebrities unite for the 3rd Annual Hollywood Domino gala supporting Artists for Peace and Justice, a charity co-founded by Paul Haggis whose event proceeds benefit Haiti relief efforts. The celebratory weekend culminates with Mercedes-Benz USA debuting a new ad called “Tree of Innovation,” which stars the S400 Hybrid and showcases the company’s expanding cast of environmentally oriented vehicles. Featuring the world’s first production vehicle powered by lithium ion, a sophisticated new battery technology that is more compact and energy efficient than conventional batteries, the S400 is one of two hybrids the company offers along with three BlueTEC clean diesels and an upcoming fleet of fuel cell vehicles. The spot ends noting that that Mercedes-Benz not only strives to make the best cars in the world, but for the world: “a cleaner, safer, greener future is what drives us.”
In addition to the millions of viewers at home watching the new Mercedes-Benz eco commercial during the Academy Awards, an exclusive mix of industry executives and Hollywood insiders will be attending Mercedes-Benz Oscar viewing event at the new Soho House West Hollywood. The party of 300 guests celebrates of Hollywood’s Biggest Night and is a testament to Mercedes-Benz long-standing history in film.
Select VIP guests during Oscar weekend and other film events, including the Palm Springs International Film Festival, choose the S400 Hybrid for its luxury features and impressive fuel economy estimated at 30 miles per gallon on the highway.
