Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the GLA Concept compact crossover at the Shanghai Auto Show.
The GLA has a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing 208 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. It is built off of the same platform as the A- and B-Class autos that which we will see in the 2014 CLA sedan and B-Class Electric Drive.
The most interesting addition to the GLA crossover are the laser-based headlamps with video-projecting capability. Mercedes-Benz says the array can project any image or video onto a screen, along with a pair of removable HD cameras mounted to the roof rack.
The interior features plenty leather and aluminum.
While just in the concept stage, the GLA certainly looks like a feasible project for the folks at Mercedes.
