Having seen the new Mercedes-AMG GT S in person at the auto shows in LA and Detroit, we can’t get the image of its long, sleek, sexy design out of our heads. Now we know how much it will take to get it into our driveways.
Pricing starts at $129,900 making it one of seventeen MB models to eclipse the $100,000 mark. The GT S is powered by a 4.0 bi-turbo V8 engine that features an output of 503 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque, delivering a 0-60 mph time of 3.7 seconds, putting it right in line with the Ferrari 458 Speciale, Porsche 911 GTS, BMW i8 and Corvette C7. In addition to outstanding performance and handling, the Mercedes-AMG GT S boasts a long list of standard features, including Nappa leather, remote keyless entry and start, a collision prevention assist system, active park assist, 8 Airbags, 19″ Front / 20″ Rear wheels, adaptive suspension, LED headlamps, power heated/memory seats designed for performance driving, rearview camera, red brake calipers, AMG 3-Stage ESP, and a Burmester surround sound system.
Best of all, we won’t have to wait much longer. The GT S is scheduled to arrive in showrooms in April of this year.
