If you have ever had the overwhelming desire to meet Apple’s chief executive Tim Cook over a cup of coffee, now is your chance. Although it will cost you more than $180,000 – because that’s the current price for an auction on the website Charitybuzz that will give you some real face time with the Apple CEO.
The auction runs until May 14, with proceeds going to the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights.
Bidding kicked off Wednesday at 4 p.m. with a $6,000 bid and rose quickly once word of the opportunity hit social media outlets.
Cook’s auction has the chance to top Bill Clinton – who’s $225,000 price tag is a record on Charitybuzz. Of course, these are peanuts when compared to the nearly $3.5 million that a group of investors paid in 2012 to lunch with financier Warren Buffett.
The winner of the auction will get a 30-60 session with Cook at the Apple headquarters in Cupertino, CA.
If the coffee with Cook is too expensive for your tastes, you can always put down a bid to meet Robert DeNiro or Ben Affleck.
