A look at the Mandarin Oriental in Barcelona.
Visitors who walk down Barcelona’s famed Las Ramblas, in the heart of the city’s shopping district, will be happy to note that Mandarin Oriental has opened its newest hotel just steps away. Located on Passeig de Gràcia, an impressive avenue not far from the bustle of Las Ramblas, it is moments from the city’s top restaurants, museums, and cultural attractions. Each of Mandarin Oriental Barcelona’s 98 spacious rooms is a distinctly peaceful hideaway from the buzzing city below, while the Terrat rooftop terrace features a pool and cocktails with a spectacular skyline view. A 1,000- square-foot spa offers eight private treatment rooms, including two Thai suites, a 12-meter lap pool, and a hammam. Guests should look to book the Penthouse Suite, which encompasses the entire 2,542-square-foot top floor of the hotel, and boasts two large bedrooms, private elevator access, two terraces, a kitchen, bar, and butler service. Rates start at $11,683 for the Penthouse Suite. – From Robb Report
