After some hand wringing and negotiations, AMC’s critical darling ‘Mad Men’ has a future.
AMC and creator Matt Weiner have come to an agreement to extend the series for three more years. Weiner made it clear that after season 7, the Emmy-winning series will be complete.
The move will likely ensure that Don Draper, Peggy Olson, Roger Sterling and crew reach the 1970s.
‘Mad Men’ has been a huge critical favorite, and the show has put AMC on the map for original programming.
The next question will be when ‘Mad Men’ returns. Word is that it won’t be until early 2012.
