Carr Hall Castle is not what you would normally expect from a home would look like. This stunning castle is set among 12 acres of lush land in a secluded, wooded valley at about half distance between Leeds and Manchester. Who owns this unusual crib? The place is currently full-time accommodating entrepreneurs Terry George and Michael Rothwell who spent no less than $1 million renovating the building, a process that lasted about four years.
Terry George and Michael Rothwell did their best to restore the original facade of the castle, using brick-wood for a genuine touch and giving the interior a true royal feel. Wood, long velvet curtains, deep colors and king-sized beds are just some of the elements the designers used to make this place worth inhabiting.
And if you do not find the castle itself stunning, its surroundings will definitely not leave you indifferent. An outside courtyard with a barbeque area is perfect for nature walks and various gatherings. The property also has a lake with a rowing boat, for soothing outdoor fun.
Carr Hall Castle is also known for competing against 26 stunning homes around the UK and winning Channel 5’s I Own Britain’s Best Home. And if you are very curious about its atmosphere, the castle is available for booking here.
