Louis Vuitton undertakes unconventional as well as traditional ways to make travel not only a leisure activity but also a creative adventure. The French luxury brand has been wooing travelers and fashion conscious deep-pocketed shoppers with a collection of leather goods, apparels and accessories. Along with these, the LVMH-owned brand is also known for its travel books collection where young and established artists discover new destinations to offer a contemporary vision of travel. The latest addition to the collection is The Artic by Blaise Drummond and Edinburgh by Floc’h.
Travel Book Edinburgh –Penned by French illustrator Floc’h, the Edinburgh edition uses his “ligne claire” style to capture the capital city of Scotland. Published by Louis Vuitton, the 168 page travel book holds 20 original drawings, biography, introduction and captions. Available in French as well as English editions for $56, it is sized at 11 x 7.5 inches.
Floc’h is renowned for his works in form of collections of prints, book jackets, film posters and title sequences for Alain Resnais, Woody Allen, children’s collections, advertising and illustrations for magazines (The New Yorker, Monsieur), silk-screen prints, portraits, and much more.
