Louis Vuitton Presents Escale Worldtime Only Watch 2015 “The World is a Dancefloor”

Louis Vuitton sails with time to present an exclusively designed timepiece to mark their participation at the Only Watch Auction for the 5th time. The Escale Worldtime Only Watch 2015 “The World is a Dancefloor” is designed by Louis Vuitton in collaboration with Paul Pettavino.

Inspired by Louis Vuitton’s travel heritage, spirit of trunk-making, customization services as well as colorful universe of the Escale Worldtime watch, the 2015 edition surfaces with a dancefloor pattern. The phrase “The world is a dancefloor” perfectly echoes the design and the function of the watch.

The Louis Vuitton Escale Worldtime watch flaunts bright shades which are applied by miniature painting technique. To know what time it is anywhere, La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton devised and created a unique “Worldtime” feature. The Escale watch shows the world time without using a single hand. Time in 24 time zones is shown by three different hand-painted mobile discs – city disc, hour disc and minute disc.

The 18 carats white gold case houses LV 106 Calibre: automatic movement developed and assembled by La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton. Water resistant to 30 meters, the unique Louis Vuitton timepiece is fitted with blue alligator starp featuring yellow calfskin lining and orange stitching. 

Luring globe-trotters, the “Escale Worldtime, The world is a dancefloor” is complemented with a trunk featuring a Damier Graphite canvas hand-painted with “The world is a dancefloor” design on it. One of the most colorful watches will get even more playful at 2015 Only Watch charity auction which will take place in Geneva in November.
