Pursuitist has already spoken about Marc Jacobs’ final Louis Vuitton’s S/S 2014 campaign shot by Steven Meisel, dominated by six gorgeous women. As we managed to take our eyes off the series of portraits of the designer’s muses, let’s take a look at his final collection for Louis Vuitton. Dedicated to the women who inspire him, the limited edition NN14 collection features the iconic Noé bag in a new stunning avatar.
The Noè bucket bag dates back to 1932, designed by Gaston-Louis Vuitton to hold champagne bottles on the go. The latest NN14 collection is set to be the IT bag of 2014 and will reign as the most-sought after by LV fans. Rolled out in three variations, the bags are shaped out of suede, monogram canvas and leather. Each one sports a leather tassel closure, a LV-embossed leather handle along with the trademark padlock and key bell. The highlight of the collection are the Noés that are ornamented with studs, crystals, sequins, feathers and metal buttons. Catering to every taste, the signature NN14 has been created by Marc Jacobs in an attempt of “cleaning” of the original design.
While Edie Campbell is seen flaunting a studded NN14, Catherine Deneuve is holding on to the feathered edition.
Fan Bingbing is seen oozing oomph with the sequins embroidered version and Caroline de Maigret is plays muse to the one trimmed with alligator patch.
After all, it is nothing but a truely time-tested classic bag.
