World Cup fever is starting to rise. Watch Louis Vuitton’s commercial featuring legends Maradona, Pele and Zidane as they face off in a ‘legendary’ match.
The latest chapter in the Louis Vuitton Core Values corporate advertising campaign brings together three of the greatest footballers of all time. Pelé of Brazil, Diego Maradona of Argentina and Zinedine Zidane of France all won a World Cup and all wore the emblematic No.10 shirt.
For Louis Vuitton, the legendary stars met at Café Maravillas, a typical bar in Madrid and were tempted into a game of table football.
Celebrated photographer Annie Leibovitz, who has shot visuals for the previous Louis Vuitton corporate campaigns, captured the exuberant fun and friendly rivalry of the meeting with her lens.
Next to the bar is a Louis Vuitton Pégase cabin case in Mon Monogram—personalized with the initials of Zinedine Zidane—while a Keepall bag rests on a stool nearby.
In conjunction with the campaign Louis Vuitton launched a dedicated website to add to the experience. The fun interactive site lets visitors produce their own interview of the players, sign up for autographed photos, as well as watch and offer commentary to the table football match between Pelé and Zidane.
As part of its ongoing commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainable development, Louis Vuitton is making a donation to The Climate Project, spearheaded by Nobel Peace Prize winner Al Gore, on behalf of the three football stars.
