Louis Vuitton isn’t new to designing cases for trophies as we have already seen the bespoke cases created by the French luxury house for America’s Cup trophy as well as the FIFA World Cup. However, for the first time Louis Vuitton is teaming up with the Rugby World Cup to design a case for the Webb Ellis Cup, the sport’s biggest prize.Specially hand-made in Louis Vuitton’s workshop outside of Paris, the case features the designer’s iconic Monogram canvas and brass locks. It has been designed to open from the front and at the top in order to remove the sterling silver and gold-plate trophy with ease.
Louis Vuitton’s latest prize case will debut during the Rugby World Cup final at Twickenham, England on October 31.
