One of the world’s most iconic luxury fashion brand is celebrating one of the most iconic Monogram with The Icons and The Iconoclasts. To honor all the six icons and mark their exclusive commemorative creations, Louis Vuitton hosted the Celebrating Monogram dinner at Museum of Modern Art, New York City. The event was held by Louis Vuitton Chairman and CEO Michael Burke and Louis Vuitton Executive Vice President Delphine Arnault to pay tribute to the Christian Louboutin, Cindy Sherman, Frank Gehry, Karl Lagerfeld, Marc Newson and Rei Kawakubo.
The 160 guests included models, muses, artists, actresses and other celebs who swapped stories about their first forays into the world of Vuitton and discussed the famed monogram over coupes de champagne. Along with Iconoclasts Frank Gehry, Karl Lagerfeld, Cindy Sherman, Christian Louboutin and Marc Newson, the guests were also captured by Patrick Demarchelier during the Celebrating Monogram event. A dedicated Celebrating Monogram portrait studio had been built inside the walls of the museum to immortalize the participants of the night and all the photos were posted to the Louis Vuitton Instagram.
While Nicole Kidman, looking hot in red gown, posed with hubby Keith Urban, Ashley Olsen flaunted a studded handbag designed by Christian Louboutin and faced the lens with him too.
Iconoclast Karl Lagerfeld posed all by himself and also faced the camera again alongside Delphine Arnault.
The long and the short of it – Bernard Arnault and Frank Gehry inside the pop-up studio.
Together, Anna Wintour and Nicolas Ghesquière made a very arresting impact in front of the lens.
Miranda Kerr, Karlie Kloss and Charlotte Gainsbourg also posed along with the letters of their initials, in keeping with the theme of monogram for the French fashion photographer.
Louis Vuitton’s 160th anniversary celebration at the MOMA was complete with a sumptuous dinner. It has also been reported that every guest was honored with a monogrammed napkin placed at their chairs.
