Louis Vuitton will live stream its Fall 2012 men’s ready-to-wear show January 19 at louisvuitton.com. Despite streaming its women’s shows online for many seasons, this will be the first time male Louis Vuitton fans will enjoy the privilege, signaling the increasing importance of menswear fashion week.
The France-based fashion label will be welcoming the public into the world of fashion week for the Paris edition when the label’s show takes place — 14:30 CET Thursday.
Going even further is Mugler, with a four-day behind-the-scenes live stream, which began January 16 at http://www.ustream.tv/muglerlive, inviting the public into the fashion arena.
The company’s creative director Nicola Formichetti even asked his Facebook fans to offer style advice ahead of the January 18 runway show, taking place at 18:00 CET.
“Showing everyone the craziness just makes sense,” Formichetti told WWD. “They want to be a part and see the madness, and honestly I wouldn’t mind having a million little stylists giving me their input. It feels totally next level for us.”
