At Pursuitist, we’ve essentially ignored the “tiny homes” trend – while we’re totally on board with things like lowering our carbon footprint, tiny homes have tended to be less than luxe – until now. ESCAPEHomes, maker of travel-ready vacation home, has just launched their newest product, the Escape Traveler, a 269-square-foot wonder on wheels that sets a new standard for travel ready tiny homes.
This $58,000-and-up “prairie style” cottage was modeled after the famed cottages of Wisconsin’s Canoe Bay Resort. It boasts an energy efficient design which can accommodate up to six people, offers full size appliances, a living area with fireplace, big screen TV, soaring floor-to-ceiling windows and a washer and dryer.
Measuring 28’L (including hitch) weighing 10,000 pounds, each ESCAPE Traveler is outfitted with its own trailer and is easily transported with a standard pick-up.
These babies come with a sleeping loft with a queen bed, second sleeping loft or attic and first floor daybeds that fold into couches, a 30” range, fridge, and optional ice maker.
For bathing, you’ll enjoy a tub/shower combo, toto toilet, and amenities like aluminum pegs and towel bars for storage.
The standard cedar siding makes the design fit right in to the countryside, but LP “Smartside” and all-steel versions are also available.
Want to upgrade? Add in a double-bowl sink, big screen TV with blu-ray, washer/dryer, dishwasher, spa tub, generator or electric fireplace.
Sounds pretty luxe to us. We may have to consider this tiny home trend after all.
