When you think of special edition Lamborghini the word “bargain” doesn’t usually spring to mind, but the just-announced LP550-2 Valentino Balboni Edition is basically that; at €162,000, the limited production run vehicle (only 250 units), named after Lamborghini’s famed test driver who has helped shape the brand’s cars and performance standard for the past 40 years, undercuts the LP560-4. That’s actually fitting as the LP550-2 Balboni is basically a stripped-down version of the latter, fitted with a somewhat de-tuned version of the car’s 5.2L V10 powerhouse. – From James List
