An organic twist for distiller Laclie Alcools.
Laclie Alcools, one of the last independent distillers in the Cognac region, is presenting HR Organic Vodka at Vinexpo 2009 in Bordeaux (Stand number: X338, Hall 3). Positioned as the first French organic vodka, HR Organic Vodka is said to be made from the purest ingredients in the Cognac region: Water naturally filtered over Champagne limestone and organically certified French wheat. Distilled six times, the vodka is “pure and well structured, yet with all its original wheat character preserved”, the company said. Laclie Alcools added: “We are proud to be full circle: because the wheat byproduct from our vodka-making process is organic and minimally processed, it is packed with protein and fiber, thus making it ideal for sale as feed to an organic dairy farm.” – From Moodie Report
