Just in time to celebrate the increasingly popular National Rosé Day, NYC’s 3rd annual installation of La Nuit en Rosé Summer Edition set sail on the Hornblower Infinity Yacht this weekend.
Over 150 wines, local chefs providing perfectly paired light bites, and pink themed lifestyle pop-ups from brands like Thomas Pink, Guerlain, Ferrari, and Chandon were among the event attractions. Bermuda even sponsored a lounge on the top deck… to promote its pink sand beaches, of course.
Event founder, Pierrick Bouquet, arguably rosé wine’s biggest fan, was on hand to share his enthusiasm for each handpicked brand at the tasting, answer questions about rosé coloration and food pairings, and boast that rosés account for the vast majority of his home region’s (Provence) wine production.
Over an hour of docked drinking eventually led into a picturesque cruise with stunning sunset views to cap off the blushfest.
La Nuit en Rosé will return! But if you didn’t get enough National Rosé Day celebrating this year — and are still looking at life through rosé colored glasses — don’t miss the upcoming PinkNic, the largest rosé themed picnic and music festival (with baskets by Chris Santos!), taking place July 9th & 10th on Governor’s Island.
