The upcoming Koenigsegg One:1 super car is looking to be one the most powerful vehicle put into production. Koenigsegg founder Christian von Koenigsegg recently confirmed that the One:1 will produce 1,400 horsepower and have a weight of just over 3,000 pounds. The car’s name is a reference to the fact that it achieves a one-to-one ratio of power and weight.
The One:1 is based on Koenigsegg’s existing Agera line of super cars.
So what kind of performance will a 1,400 hp engine give you? Koenigsegg says that simulations have shown the One:1 could reach a speed of 280 mph, which would make it the fastest production car in the world.
Koenigsegg will complete the first prototype of the One:1 by the end of the year, and only six of the super cars will actually be produced. Cost is expected to exceed $2 million.
