Prince breathed his last and left the music world mourning. One of the most cool pop stars ever, the Purple One has been receiving many tributes from all over, but the one that zooms right up to the top is from Koenigsegg.
The Swedish supercar manufacturer celebrated the American singer’s legacy by releasing a render of its Regera model outfitted in an all-over deep purple paint job. Titled Lila Regera, which reads Purple Reign in English, the computer-generated rendering of the $1.9 million hybrid-electric Regera in purple carbon fiber body has got Prince fans from the auto world go crazy.
Koenigsegg released the images on its Facebook page, saying that they’d had to wait all night for the render to be ready. The company dubbed the car “Lila Regera,” explaining that the name sort-of translates to “Purple Reign” in Swedish.
On the Facebook page, Koenigsegg clarified about their intentions to transform the rendering in to a production version, “We generally only make things when people order them. But I really hope someone orders this because it looks amazing.”
