With a 20 year mutual admiration Karl Lagerfeld and Shu Uemura are bringing fashion and beauty together with a one-off holiday collection. Just in time for Christmas, the duo are collaborating for the ‘Karl Lagerfeld for Shu Uemura’ makeup line
“I love sketching in the morning,” Karl says. “When I go to sleep I always put my pens and papers next to my bed. I use Shu Uemura shadows to sketch, since they are such fantastic colours. I design with Shu Uemura make-up because other manufacturers do not offer such beautiful colors.”
Pier Paolo Righi, president of Karl Lagerfeld, says that the ‘Karl Lagerfeld for Shu Uemura’ products will reflect the designer’s “iconic, ironic style.” Karl Lagerfeld for Shu Uemura will be unveiled in September, but don’t expect to get your hands on it until November, when it will be available at 400 Shu Uemura stores worldwide.
