Grammy-winning musician John Mayer has sold his New York City condo for $3.9 million. The Soho residence features over 2,000 square feet of living space, including two bedrooms and three bathrooms. Mayer bought the home in 2005 for $2.17 million – so he makes a tidy profit.
There are not a ton of photos of the residence, but the condo, located at Spring and Lafayette streets, is refreshingly modest. It has Brazilian walnut floors and wonderful city views. The building ports a 24-hour doorman and roof deck.
Mayer has moved out the spotlight of late, selling not only his NY condo, but an LA home as well. He bought a ranch in Montana in 2012, and reportedly prefers his downtime in a more relaxed environment. Mayer is currently dating singer Katy Perry.
Actress Dakota Fanning reportedly lives in the same building.
