Delta Air Lines is pulling back the curtain on a new, sprawling 14,000-square-foot Delta Sky Club at JFK airport. This colossal addition will join forces with the existing lounge on Terminal 4, Concourse B, to offer seating for over 800 guests in concert. Its strategic location at Terminal 4 near Gate A7 makes it a convenient retreat for travelers waiting for their flights.
The City that Never Sleeps, at Your Fingertips
The design of the new lounge is a tribute to its home city. It balances the grit and glamour of New York City, creating an atmosphere that pulses with the rhythm of the metropolis. The lounge encapsulates the spirit of NYC, brimming with distinct ‘discoverable moments’ that are destined to become favorites among frequent flyers.
Imagine sinking into a comfortable seat in the fireplace lounge, the ambiance imbued with quiet productivity or serene relaxation, all while drinking in panoramic views of the busy airfield. Picture a tucked-away corner, bedecked with lush green seating, reminiscent of a classic, hush-hush speakeasy. At the heart of the Club is a striking 360-degree premium bar, echoing the city’s non-stop vibrancy and the invigorating spirit of the city that never sleeps.
Crafting a Memorable Experience
The ethos behind this space extends beyond aesthetics. As Claude Roussel, Managing Director — Delta Sky Club, remarks, “This new Club is beautifully designed and packed with special details that reflect the magic of New York City, but it’s a place where our people can deliver Delta Sky Club’s signature hospitality, making each guest feel welcomed and cared for from the moment they step inside.”
A Taste of the Big Apple
Adding to the allure of the T4-A Club is the tantalizing work of rising-star local chef Elyssa Heller, founder and CEO of Edith’s Eatery & Grocery in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. As part of Delta Sky Club’s Local Flavor program, guests can savour Heller’s takes on Jewish deli classics, such as the brisket hash sandwich and the vegetarian latkes, alongside her signature vegan Iced Café Slushie.
A Decade of Investment
Delta’s opening of its second Sky Club at JFK is the latest chapter in its $7 billion investment in New York’s airports since 2010. This includes a $1.5 billion expansion project at JFK that broke ground in late 2021. In January 2023, Delta centralized all operations to Terminal 4, launching ten new gates in the modernized Concourse A. The lounge will operate daily from 5 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., ensuring it becomes a beacon of Delta’s commitment to passenger comfort.
As travelers resume their global journeys, Delta is ramping up its schedule, operating its largest-ever trans-Atlantic schedule from JFK, and promising even more to come. The new lounge and the upcoming expanded services highlight Delta’s commitment to providing unrivaled service and experience to its customers, allowing them to unwind and savor the very best of New York hospitality while waiting for their flights. This new Delta Sky Club is not just a lounge, but an experience that embodies the captivating allure of the city it resides in.
