The iconic Jefferson DC, in the Nation’s Capital, this year celebrates the 100th anniversary of the building that the hotel has called home since 1955.
To mark the occasion, the luxury hotel is partnering with another Washington mainstay to create some serious bling in a nod to its Beaux-Arts architectural design.
The Jefferson originally opened in 1923 as a luxury apartment building designed by famed architect Jules Henri de Sibour.
Its signature black and white checkered marble lobby floors have welcomed residents and guests for the past century.
Now, an ornate custom 10-carat diamond bracelet complements this checkered design.
Tiny Jewel Box, also DC’s jeweler for close to 100 years, created the bracelet, because while there is no traditional gift for a 100-year anniversary, the modern gift is a 10-carat diamond.
Guests who book the Jefferson DC’s Heirloom Package for a minimum of one night in the hotel’s Presidential Suite will receive the bespoke Tiny Jewel Box bracelet as well as a welcome bottle of champagne and a custom dinner for two by Executive Chef Fabio Salvatore served at the exclusive Nest table in Jefferson DC’s Greenhouse.
The Heirloom package must be booked six weeks in advance and starts at $60,000, including the Tiny Jewel Box bracelet.
