For years, James Franco suspected the artists he admired possessed insider secrets about the art world. “I felt like they all knew something I didn’t know,” Mr. Franco said recently. Perhaps he’ll soon be privy to their special intelligence: On June 23, Mr. Franco will open his first solo art show at the Clocktower Gallery, a nonprofit exhibition space in a municipal building on Leonard Street. “The Dangerous Book Four Boys,” which includes sculpture, photography and drawing, as well as film and video, will be curated by Alanna Heiss, the founder and former director of P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center.- from WSJ
