Fans of Harry Potter received a bit of hope on Friday.
Potter author J.K. Rowling told Oprah Winfrey in an interview, “I could definitely write an eighth, ninth, tenth,” referring to what would be the next books in the series. She then added, “I’m not going to say I won’t. I don’t think I will … I feel I am done, but you never know.”
The news will thrill Potter fans – even if it offers only a glimmer of hope. Upon finishing the last book, she said she had no plans to continue writing Potter novels – but she did not rule it out.
Time away from the Potter world has, obviously, made her consider the franchise’s future more closely.
Fans – and the publishing world – will now wait with bated breath for the next adventure of the boy wizard.
