Introducing the Spring 2011 TOMMY collection. An eclectic mix of travel, nautical and neon, the Spring 2011 collection continues the preppy with an edge design aesthetic that the collection launched with for Holiday 2010. Check out pictures from the event launch here and further details on the collection below.
“The Spring 2011 collection truly reflects the playful design concept that makes the new TOMMY collection so exciting,” said Tommy Hilfiger. “For spring I love the mix of pattern on pattern and the new pop of color- neon.”
The women’s collection is all about the well-traveled girl who loves to mix treasures from her exotic adventures with her everyday looks. She adds global flair to her signature downtown prep with Ikat leading the pattern pack in either languidly long skirts or seriously short shorts. Muted colors are popped with a casually draped neon scarf or belt, and denim comes in every shade of blush. From Indonesia to the Andes, this is a girl who fearlessly explores the world and likes to bring a little piece home with her, even if only a hand beaded necklace or rucksack.
The men’s collection touts nautical with neon, amplifying the traditional preppy look with color blocking, pops of color and dyed Oxfords. Bathing suits become a statement piece as do tees sporting inside out pockets. Denim mixes muted with dark, plaids jump off camo and a pinstripe sweater negotiates perfectly between a neon tee and plaid short.
