If you ever wondered how to adorn a chic space with family seating systems, you have never seen Jovana Bogdanovic’s Low Chairs Family. The pastel color palette and unusual low-rise design makes the series a bold and fun way of looking at Asian inspiration molded into modern furniture. Matching soft colored comfortable cushions complete each chair design with a surprisingly contemporary appearance. Designed to be not only beautiful, but functional and decorative, the Low Chairs Family series was inspired by the artist’s search for a new design language.
Jovana Bogdanovic’s multicultural experience helped in her search for original furniture that can be used as both functional and decorative items. After moving to China to work with designers Zhang Lei and Christoph Jhon on a new project called Innovo Design, the young and talented Serbian artist created the chair series you can enjoy in the photos below. The concept behind these low chairs was born of the artist’s desire to show the cultural contradictions we inherit.
