Update: Ron Howard has sold his family compound and farm near Greenwich, Conn., for its asking price of $27.5 million. Sale of the compound closed on July 24 and it sets a record for most expensive home sale on record in Westchester County.
Oscar-winning director Ron Howard is selling the 32-acre estate he’s owned for 20 years, located in the Conyers Farm gated community in Greenwich, Connecticut. The asking price for the estate is only $27.5 million.
The lush property is a working farm, featuring an organic vegetable garden, greenhouse, livestock and horse barns, along with paddocks and a riding ring. The estate also features an observatory and nature trails.
“We moved 3,000 miles away from the hub of Los Angeles, to raise our family here,” Ron Howard said about the property, according to Sotheby’s International Realty. “Whether we’re watching films in our theatre, walking the trails throughout our property, star gazing in our observatory, or just relaxing with friends and loved ones by the lake, Cheryl and I feel we’ve accomplished the goals we set when we began work on this place.”
