Will Hermès expand by buying jewelery label Asprey? Word on the street is things are serious.
Hermès are still refusing to comment this morning on speculation that the French luxury brand is set to acquire jewelery label Asprey. Hermès exchanged contracts to secure Asprey’s New Bond Street store for £75 million last week, The Telegraph reports, and rumours suggest it has its gaze fixed on the company itself. Hermès – which has designer Jean Paul Gaultier at the creative helm – has been enjoying sales in contrary to the global economy of late, with six-month sales figures showing turnover up more than 7 per cent to €874.9 million. – From Vogue
