Four years back, in 2010, Hermès had initiated the Petit h workshop where it brought together all of its materials, know-how and creativity in a single place. The outstanding Sailboat sails out of the same laboratory. Shaped out of wood and leather, the decorative sailboat by Hermès is designed by Godefroy de Vireu.
This work of art is a unique combination of the company’s emblematic materials: leather, metal and a scarf. Inspired by these materials as well as the toy sailboats that generations of children have sailed on the pond at the Jardin de Luxembourg in Paris, the artist conceptualized this sailboat piece of décor. Sized at 27″ x 6″ x 38″, allow this sailboat with silk sails stitched from Hermès scarves to moor in your living room for $10,200.
Each Petit h creation is signed and presented with no concept of a collection or of a season. They are offered at special, temporary sales held at Hermès stores around the world, and permanently at Hermès store at 17 rue de Sèvres in Paris. However, from June 13 to 29, 2014, Petit h is establishing its surprising caravan in California, at the Hermès in South Coast Plaza, located at 3333 Bristol Street, Costa Mesa, 92626. Petit h is also presenting an assortment products on line, on H.com, available exclusively for from June 13 to 30, 2014.
