Hermès is celebrating Christmas in Japan with a small pop-up skating rink at Maison Hermès in Tokyo. Located at Ginza, this smallest skating rink welcomes visitors right at the entrance of the largest Hermès store in Japan.
The 3×3 meter circular rink will lure visitors to show their skating skills too. Open from 14th December, it will remain open until Christmas day to offer 30-minute skating lessons for free. Whoa! This holiday season all Hermès fans in Tokyo can grab this complimentary opportunity and register online via Facebook. Along with skating instructors, skating shoes in various sizes as also available. However, skaters who will be chosen at random, are advised to wear comfortable clothing along with socks, gloves and caps.
Those not residing in Tokyo can head over to the brand’s global outlets and shop Hermès’ new autumn-winter 2013 ski collection to hit the slopes and celebrate the festive in style too.
Maison Hermès is a 65,000 square feet flagship store and corporate headquarters of Hermès located in the heart of Tokyo’s Ginza shopping district. The building houses workshops and offices, a shopping space, exhibition areas and multimedia quarters. In addition to a roof garden at the top of the building, there is also a recess which divides the long facade into two, forming a courtyard that delivers an access to the subway two levels below. Cleverly designed, the building resembles a giant glowing Japanese lantern, when lit up at night.
